Millions of Americans living in rural communities face higher risks of poor health outcomes and death compared to urban residents. However, they have limited access to the high-quality healthcare they need. Many rural healthcare centers that serve as the economic backbone of their communities are at risk of closure, putting vital jobs and economic stability in these regions in jeopardy.
This isn’t just a rural crisis — it’s an American crisis. Rural America is home to essential industries and communities that help power our nation. By addressing rural health challenges, we can strengthen these regions and invest in a healthier future for all Americans.

Our STORY
From Rural, For Rural
In 2020, RHRC was established as a 501(c)3 nonprofit to tackle healthcare challenges facing rural America. Headquartered in Pennsylvania, RHRC has become a national leader in rural health transformation and advocacy. We bring deep expertise in alternative payment model design, technical assistance delivery, and operational support for rural healthcare organizations. Through our wide range of services, innovative programs, and best-in-class partnerships, we have served over 250 healthcare providers nationwide as of 2026, impacting over 7 million rural residents.
With over 500 years of collective experience as rural residents and healthcare leaders, our personal experiences drive our passion for creating a healthier future for all.
